چکیده
Objective: An image display with a standardized uptake value (SUV) scale is recommended for analyzing PET exams, thus requiring the reconstruction of accurate images both SUV measurement and visual analysis. This study aimed to determine whether such may also be obtained high-speed CZT-SPECT/CT system, further application longitudinal monitoring vertebral fractures. Materials Methods: SPECT was optimized an IEC phantom according quality parameters accuracy measured activity. The process applied ≤15 min 99m Tc-HDP spine recordings previously acquired from 25 patients (74 ± 12 years old) at early (1.3 1.1 months) late (5.2 2.3 stages after acute fracture. Results: A 32 equivalent iterations selected based on association high detectability spheres down 0.6 ml in volume, activity, although latter affected by partial volume effect ≤5.6 ml. Coherent measurements were these high-quality SUVmax intact vertebrae patients, which stable between basal SPECT/CT follow-up (for T1 vertebrae: 5.7 vs. 5.8 1.1, p = 0.76), initially fractured vertebrae, dramatically higher compared (21.0 8.5 11.2 4.2, < 0.001), whereas inverse changes observed newly compacted fractures identified (74.4 2.0 21.8 10.3, 0.002). Finally, shown advantageous highlighting areas >7.5 SUV, level reached 98% <7 months 4% reference vertebrae. Conclusion: Bone scintigraphy this system fast 3D acquisitions displayed reliable scale, approaching what achieved imaging.

Whole body bone scintigraphy in osseous hydatosis: a case report
Hydatid disease is common in many parts of the world, and causes considerable health and economic loss. This disease may develop in almost any part of the body.Bone involvement is often asymptomatic, and its diagnosis is primarily based on radiographic findings. A whole body bone scan is able to show the extent and distribution of lesions. We describe an unusual case of multifocal skeletal hydat...
متن کاملCuboid fracture in a toddler discovered on the whole body bone scan: A case report
This report presents a 3.5-year-old boy who was hospitalized for limping. Medical history and physical exams were not suggestive for any definitive diagnosis. Laboratory and radiographic exams did not support any specific diagnosis either. Subsequently bone scan was performed and increased activity in the ankle due to cuboid fracture was incidentally observed.

UNLABELLED 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) has become widely available and an important oncological technique. To evaluate the influence of PET on detection of bone metastasis, we compared the diagnostic accuracy of PET and conventional bone scintigraphy (BS) in a variety of cancer patients. METHODS Consecutive ninety-five patients with various cancers, who rec...
متن کامل99mTc-MDP whole body bone scan in a case of acute disseminated melioidosis
Melioidosis is a potentially fatal infectious disease occurring predominantly in the tropics, caused by a Gram-negative, motile, rod shaped obligatory aerobic non-spore forming bacillus, Burkholderia pseudomallei. It can produce localised or disseminated disease largely affecting immunocompromised patients. It is a challenge to identify melioidosis early as this disease can manipulate host’s ce...

Objective(s): Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of morbimortality with over half cardiovascular events occurring in the asymptomatic population by traditional risk stratification. This preliminary study aimed to evaluate systemic plaque vulnerability in patients with prior Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) with a single Whole Body [FDG] PET-CT scan in terms of plaq...
